I entered the first City of Sparks photo contest and was one of six winners. Only two of us could make it to the City Council meeting. They showed our photos to the mayor and other council members. There were also about 25 people in the room. On top of showing our photo, they also framed it and put it up at City Hall. I almost teared up seeing it. I’ve never had any photos put on display. When they showed my photo during the meeting. I heard people say, “Whoa!”... that made me feel like I accomplished something big.
